To apply to the skin: put a small amount of aloe, lotion, sunscreen etc on skin then apply glitter.

I highly recommend you use coconut oil roller Or Aloe Vera Gel. A glitter primer works well too. Some colors may "bleed" with water based mediums. This is natural with biodegradable glitter. 

To apply in crafts or bath and body products etc: Do a test to ensure you get the exact effect you are looking for. We do sell sample sizes to try out.

Traditional Glitter takes hundreds of year to degrade in the environment.. Glitter finds it way into wastewater eventually ending up in rivers and oceans or in the trash sitting in landfills. Traditional Glitter, like plastic, causes harm to organisms. Traditional Glitter is a micro plastic.

Gaia Glitter is biodegradable, which uses plant derived material rather than polyester. Once it enters the environment microbes will consume the biodegradable content turning it into carbon dioxide, water and biomass. The biodegrading speed depends upon local environmental factors such as heat, moisture and concentration of microbes. Important: Gaia Glitter contains no harmful chemicals, and contains ingredients either approved for cosmetic use on skin & hair. While currently no glitter on the market is 100% biodegradable, Gaia Glitter is committed to being an earth-friendly choice, with primary ingredients sourced from renewable resources such as corn and eucalyptus. Most of our glitter is bioglitter. We use both bio glitter sparkle (92% plastic free) and Bioglitter Pure (100% plastic free) As well as a few other biodegradable glitters.

Please patch test our products before use. Take care not to get it into your eyes (use around or near the eyes is not FDA-approved). If you accidentally get in eyes, flush with water and use eye drops to completely remove glitter to avoid irritation.*it will not dissolve in water it needs bacteria and other microorganisms to biodegrade*

Ingredients: bioglitter: cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, zea mays (corn starch), glycerin, aqua, polyvinyl acetate, acrylates crosspolymer, aluminum. Stars: Here's the data from the manufacturer regarding the composition of the stars: 80% Zea Mays (cornstarch) which degrades in water 14.50% Polyvinyl acetate - non toxic .05% Aqua .049% Acrylates Crosspolymer as binder .01% Aluminum The stars are 85% plastic free.
